Middle Temple Hall announces 2012 availability
Middle Temple Hall has announced that the central London venue is available for bookings during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games for National Olympic Committees and corporate sponsors.
Located in the heart of the city’s legal quarter, Middle Temple offers a secluded environment for sponsor events, entertaining and Country Houses during the Games period. The historic backdrop has previously played host to Shell, NSPCC, BBC, JP Morgan and the Home Office. It was also chosen as the site to film scenes from Shakespeare in Love, The Da Vinci Code and Bridget Jones – the Edge of Reason and more recently the BBC drama Silk and the ITV drama Injustice.
Colin Davidson, Director of Catering & Marketing at Middle Temple comments; “The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games present us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase the capabilities of our venue. From formal banquets in the main hall and elegant receptions on the lawns to intimate meetings in the Bench Apartments, Middle Temple is available on an exclusive basis or for individual events.”
The venue is one of the four ancient Inns of Court and houses some of the most imposing event space in the City. The Elizabethan Hall boasts a double hammer beam roof carved from the oak of Windsor Forest and an elaborately carved screen made in 1574. Outdoor Champagne receptions and entertaining is also available in the award winning gardens which overlook the river Thames.
